Normal for a girl to do?

I jsut started dating this girl in high school were both in 9th and 10th grade is it normal at first for her to like kinda hurry off or avoid me, this mornign she saw me went over grabbed my hand and we sat down but then we didnt tlak she just tlaked to her friends and wen i saw her later at the end of the day and she hirried off and said she has to go is this normal is she just shy? but on the weekend she like mad eout with me and people were around is she shy did she changer her mind?
