Were to drive in the UK?

im off work for just over a week at the end of the month and i want to go on a random drive, i dont no whether to go down south towards devon cornwall or go up towards scotland where i have never been before! anyone get any ideas on where i should go just on a random tour? i dont really want to go to london doesnt intrest me sounds like too much traffic on the M25 which ive done before haha! cheers :)
