I want to lose 30-40 lbs in 8 1/2 months for my wedding, is this a good goal?

I just bought an elliptical trainer and a fitness ball. I plan to use the trainer at least 30 mins every day and the fitness ball about 3 days per week. Is this a good regimen? If not any ideas involving this equipment would be great. Thanks.
